The chonkiest Pokémon in Paldea is taking over the streets! 🐷 Lechonk Community Day is this Saturday, May 9 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time and it's bringing shiny hunts, a brand-new exclusive move, and a stack of sweet bonuses. Here's everything you need to know before the hogs start running.

⚡ The Exclusive Move — Mud Slap Oinkologne

Evolve Lechonk during the event or up to four hours afterwards to get an Oinkologne that knows the exclusive Fast Attack Mud Slap. That gives you until 9:00 PM to evolve plenty of time, but don't forget!

Mud Slap hits for 11 power in Trainer Battles and jumps to 19 in Gyms and Raids. It gives Oinkologne a genuine Ground-type coverage option it didn't have before a solid upgrade, even if Oinkologne isn't raiding royalty.

✨ Shiny Lechonk — What to Look For

The odds of getting a Shiny Lechonk are 1 in 20 (5%) during the event. That's fantastic odds you should realistically see multiple shinies in a 3-hour session if you're catching actively.

• Regular Lechonk: Dark grey/brown with a beige belly
• Shiny Lechonk: A warm pink body adorable and very easy to spot 🩷
• Shiny Lechonk evolves into Shiny Oinkologne which keeps the rosy pink tones

💡 Lure tip: Even after the main event ends at 5 PM, Lechonk will keep spawning at active Lures until 9 PM still with boosted shiny odds! Pop a Lure at your favourite PokéStop and keep the hunt going.

🎟️ Is the $1.99 Ticket Worth It?

The Special Research ticket gives you 3 encounters with Lechonk that have a Special Background at the end of each page, plus additional rewards.

Worth it if: You want the Special Background Lechonk for your collection it's a neat cosmetic that only ticket holders can get. At $1.99 it's a cheap treat.

Skip it if: You just want shinies and candy the free bonuses alone are excellent and the shiny rate is the same either way.

• Use Pinap Berries on everything 2× Candy event + Pinap = 12 Candy per catch
• Don't evolve right away wait until you've caught your best IV Lechonk, then evolve before 9 PM
• Keep Incense active from 2 PM sharp 3 hours of bonus Incense is too good to waste
• Check every catch Special Background Lechonk can appear in the wild too, not just via Research!
